Get Started set out to build the Leak Week microsite as a landing page for the Schools Water Efficiency Program's marketing campaign encouraging people to save water. SWEP is supported by the government's Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning.

Building a Microsite for Marketing Campaign

SWEP needed to raise awareness of the Leak Week and turned to Get Started to prepare a microsite for this purpose. Get Started identified the project as a perfect fit for Kentico Cloud headless CMS. The team leveraged the Content Inventory and Workflow functionality to write and review 11 content items based on 5 content types, and also made use of Analytics to track visitors. The Get Started developers built the microsite in the ASP.NET MVC framework using C#, and used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the client side.


Start with the Content, Not Technology

By starting with the content creation before writing the code, the Get Started team was able to deliver the marketing microsite within 2 weeks. 

With the content-first approach, content contributors didn’t need to wait for developers to prepare templates and design. As Andy Thompson, CTO at Get Started, presented in his great case study, when building a website with Kentico Cloud, the roles in the team were able to work simultaneously and more independently.
