Based on your feedback, we’re making several updates to our pricing effective on August 9, 2018. The new pricing brings simplicity and focuses on metrics that better represent the value customers receive from our product.
No More Worries About API Calls
We’re increasing the number of API calls included in Free, Professional and Business plan to 2 million per month. That’s an amount that covers the needs of the absolute majority of our customers.
API calls now become part of our Fair Use Policy which means we won’t charge you for extra API calls if you’re occasionally above the limit. If you exceed the limit on a regular basis, our sales team will offer you an upgrade.
At the same time, we’re no longer counting the asset requests as API calls which significantly reduces the number of API calls you may need.
These changes will make it much easier for you to estimate the total cost since you don't have to worry about API calls anymore.
Introducing the New Business Plan
We’re launching a new Business Plan that fills the gap between Professional and Enterprise plans. Priced at $999 per month, the new Business Plan comes with 15 users, 10 languages, 25,000 content items and 2 custom roles.
The new Business Plan is a perfect fit for mid to large companies and growing businesses who are not ready for our Enterprise plan but want to take advantage of richer collaboration and remove their content silos.
With Custom Roles functionality launched this week, the number of custom roles becomes another important differentiator between plans. With higher plans, you can configure additional custom roles for more complex scenarios.
If you’re an existing customer, you can keep using the pre-defined roles as you’re used to or switch to the new custom roles. However, once you start using custom roles, the number of roles will be limited based on your current plan.
And did we say you can use our new extended workflow in all plans? Yes, no matter which plan you choose, you can define custom workflow to support your business processes.
We’re adding the number of content items as a new metric. The numbers are very generous – even the customers using our free option get 5,000 content items included out of the box which covers relatively large projects.
The Free Plan Is Now Called Starter Plan
We’re renaming the Free plan to Starter. While the pricing remains the same, the new name better describes the plan: it allows you to start for free and grow by adding extra users or upgrading to a higher plan when needed.
And Yes – We Continue to Offer Unlimited Projects in All Plans!
A significant difference between our pricing and some other offerings is that Kentico Cloud comes with unlimited projects in all plans. It means you can organize your content and users into any number of projects, without worrying about paying extra.
